Visit one of the most beautiful traditional Thai teak house in Bangkok once belonged to M.R. Kukrit Pramoj to get an insight into the life, tastes and achievements of the 13th Prime Minister of Thailand and one of Thailand’s greatest icons of politics and cultures. Apart from his works during his cabinet years (1974-1975), his contributions to Thailand include supporting Khon, Thai traditional masked dance, writing a number of great literatures, establishing Siam Rath newspaper and starring with Marlon Brando in The Ugly American.
The house itself is a complex of five Ayutthaya-style teakwood pavilions set in a beautiful tropical garden. The main pavilion is furnished with precious collectibles and antiques such old books, sculptures and a bed once belonged to The King Rama II, Kukrit’s ancestor.
Opening hours: Daily, 10 am - 4 pm. Advanced appointment is expected.
Admission: 50 Baht for adults. One-week appointment in advance is required for group visits.
