Located north of Surin town, this community is famed for local-style silk cloths called Hol, considered the finest quality silk. The village, located in Ban Chok, is also the first village to produce silver buttons called Luk Pa Kueam, used to accent women’s clothing.
Over the generations, local know-how on the production of Luk Pa Kueam was passed down from Khmer forefathers hundreds of years ago. Visitors can peruse local products sold in the village to buy as souvenirs.
